It remains one of the most meaningful weddings I designed last year — partly for personal reasons, but also because it reflected a philosophy I deeply believe in: when the setting is extraordinary, restraint becomes the most powerful design decision.
The couple, a young international family with small children, approached their wedding with remarkable clarity. Their vision was never about theatrical staging or excessive decoration.
They wanted something far more meaningful.

Like many destination weddings in Italy, this celebration unfolded across several days, allowing guests to experience the location beyond the wedding day itself.
The program extended over three days for all guests, with an additional intimate day reserved for immediate family and the bridal party.

- nothing superfluous
The ceremony took place on the panoramic terraces of the castle, where the Aeolian Islands formed a natural horizonrequiring no additional scenography.
Even at the end of October, Sicily surprised us with warmth, allowing every key moment of the wedding to unfold outdoors under golden Mediterranean light.
A Sicilian Wedding Reception Between Terraces and Courtyards
The reception began on a terrace overlooking the countryside.
Guests were welcomed with a generous Sicilian feast, celebrating local wines, seasonal ingredients, and the natural rhythm of Mediterranean hospitality.
The atmosphere felt abundant yet composed — curated, but never forced.
Dinner followed inside the inner courtyard of the castle.
Not a styled courtyard.
A true medieval one.
Dining there felt less like hosting an event and more like inhabiting history.

Although it was late October, a few guests still embraced the sea — a spontaneous moment that perfectly captured the Mediterranean spirit of the celebration.
