Destination wedding in Italy

/  Design   /  From Australia to Rome: The Perfect Wedding of Alexandra and Matthew

When Alexandra first reached out to me, I was about to leave for a short vacation in Morocco. What started as a quick call to discuss her wedding vision turned into a lovely conversation about life in Australia — only to discover that she was from Brisbane, the very same city where I studied during high school. It was love at first call! And that’s how our beautiful planning journey began, lasting one year and a half.

The Venue: A Private Villa in Rome

Alex already had her dream venue secured — a stunning private villa in Rome. Her idea was to spend a few unforgettable days surrounded by her closest family and friends in one place that could host most of her guests, while still being close to the city and major airports. It was the perfect balance between intimacy and convenience, combining the charm of the Italian countryside with the accessibility of the Eternal City.

The Ceremony: A Tailor-Made Celebration

The couple decided on a symbolic ceremony, personal and meaningful, crafted together with a professional officiant. Every word and gesture reflected their personalities and the love they share, making the moment deeply emotional and unique.

The Mood and Design

Alexandra’s vision was clear from the start — she wanted something elegant, modern, and refined, but without extravagance. Together, we designed a setting filled with white roses, ribbons, and baby’s breath, creating a total white palette enhanced by soft touches of dusty pink. The result was timeless, romantic, and effortlessly sophisticated — the perfect reflection of the couple’s style.

The Party: Young, Joyful, and Unforgettable

Since most of the guests were young, the party was a highlight of the day — and it truly exceeded all expectations! The energy, the music, the atmosphere… everything came together perfectly for an amazing celebration that no one will forget.

A Touch of Italian Magic

It had been raining until just a few hours before the wedding. We knew the forecast predicted rain until early afternoon, so we planned a last-minute setup, preparing what we could under cover in the morning. And then — as if by magic — the skies cleared, the sun came out, and Alexandra and Matthew enjoyed the most beautiful sunny wedding in Rome.

When you spend over a year planning a wedding and fully trust your wedding planner, you can rest assured that we’ll go above and beyond — no matter the challenges, no matter the weather. Because every couple deserves their perfect day.
